C.V. Highlights (English)
Gilda Rebello / alias RebelLog – multidisciplinary artist
Highlights of her career were the Folkwang Tanzstudio and the Tanztheater Wuppertal (guest) under the direction of Pina Bausch. At the Theater Dortmund she performed as main soloist in “Maria de Buenos Aires“, among others. In 2014/15 she was on tour as singer / dancer / actress with the multimedia project “Der Blaue Reiter ist gefallen” (premiere at the “Kunst Museum Solingen”). Also, in 2014 she choreographed the piece “Shakespearean MI “X “Conceptions” for the “Young Dansart Company” at the Theater Gütersloh. In Solingen Concert Hall she performed as a concert singer at the vernissage of the photographer “K.-H. W. Steckelings” ‘PinaBausch backstage‘.
In 2015 she was the head of training in the Braunschweig Theater and assistant of the choreography “Welcome To Your World” (nominated for the “Deutscher Theaterpreis DER FAUST 2015” in the category “Best Choreography”).
She studied dance, music and acting in Rio, with further training at the Folkwang University and the HfMDK Frankfurt (M.A. Dance Education). Pilates and kinesiology (movement science) were also partly part of her training.
2021/22 she conducted two research projects on the impact of digitalisation on art ( with the support of German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media) and released several music albums as well as soundtracks for theatre projects under the pseudonym RebelLog.
She took part in the 2022 festival Politik im freien Theater – Frankfurt (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung) with a small project for young people.
